The Sparrow

The Sparrow Bier Café has grown to be recognised as of the most highly acclaimed and well received pubs in the North of England. The European style bar opened its wings in 2011 on a quiet street in Bradford. In the years which have followed, The Sparrow has been nominated for multiple awards for its range of beers, and for the convivial atmosphere of the venue. It is these qualities we aimed to replicate in the graphics and branding work we undertook for the blossoming business.

The logo we designed was crucial in establishing the tone and feel of The Sparrow and has become synonymous with the Bier Café since it first opened its doors to the public. Aiming for a traditional/classic feel, which we believed to match the aesthetics of the bar, the logo has since acted as a catalyst for us as a business as it was so well received.

As bars in the North of England have attempted to recreate the successes of The Sparrow, many of our clients have turned to us as they seek to replicate the branding success we created for the bar.

The Sparrow, which has since been taken over by Kirkstall Brewery, relaunched in 2018 with a series of lively events. The new ownership understood how the graphic identity created by Everyday Something was integral to the brand’s success and invited us to create the marketing materials for this occasion too.

In the years following its initial opening, The Sparrow has been nominated for and won multiple awards from bodies such as CAMRA and, even more remarkably, helped regenerate a part of Bradford long considered dormant. Such was the success of The Sparrow, that North Parade was nominated for the UK’s High Street of the Year in both 2015 and 2016.
